Static Day Officer – Coastland College Dorchester

Location: Dorchester

Salary: From £12.50 per hour

Over: 4 On 4 Off shift rotation

About Real World Services:

Real World Services is actively seeking dedicated SIA operatives for Static Day Officer roles for immediate start to bolster our on-site Security team for one of our Dorset clients (Coastland College), Dorchester site. We are a well-established security company operating across the South of England, committed to maintaining the highest security and safety standards.

Role Overview:

As a Static Officer, your primary responsibility will be protecting our client’s facilities, grounds and personnel. You will also perform Control Room duties, mobile patrolling and monitoring CCTV. You will work directly with our Operations Manager, Simon Mitchell.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Static guarding onsite at our client’s Dorchester site and grounds.
  • Control room duties, including CCTV monitoring.
  • Site patrols.
  • Alarm monitoring and response.
  • Welfare checks.
  • Client liaison.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Valid SIA licence
  • Full driving licence
  • Previous experience in security (advantageous), including:
  • Control Room Operations
  • Mobile Patrols
  • Static Guarding
  • Basic proficiency in mobile handheld technology.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining security and safety standards.
  • IT literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Approachable with excellent communication skills.
  • Including strong written and verbal skills.
  • Proven trustworthiness, flexibility, and reliability.
  • Ability to remain composed and efficient under pressure.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work unsupervised.

  • PAYE-based positions.
  • 12-hour shifts – Day Shift 07:00 – 19:00.
  • 4 On 4 Off shift rotation.
  • From £12.50 per hour.
